The AAAYL is a collaborative effort of the Asian Australian Youth. The purpose of it is to
advocate on the common issues across the Asian Australian youth. AAAYL is
predominantly a combination of Asian international students and local Asian Australian
students. So far, AAAYL has been active in the areas of student and working rights, youth
leadership as well as coordinate local campaigns on their university campus. Currently,
AAAYL have branches in:
 Sydney
 Newcastle
 ACT
 Melbourne

They have been active in the community sector and doing a lot of great community development work. The Gosford project in 2014 was the most successful where they prepared Chinese dishes in the soup kitchen. The new project for the 2019/2020 year is to
look at a focus on the student and working rights network and a youth leadership and advocacy mentorship program.
